Huntington Beach’s favorite son is embarking on a new chapter of his career.

Where surfboards, wetsuits and leashes used to line the bed of his truck, you’ll now find the addition of an umbrella, blanket and sand toys. Family beach days are the soup du jour for the Simpsons, as Brett remains in hot pursuit of more heat wins, points and an a return to the Championship Tour.

Balancing time away and time at home is Brett’s new approach to surfing professionally. The road is the road, and he’d committed. But, home requires him to be present. Dawn Patrols, while the family is still asleep. Mid morning sessions with the whole posse, engaging them in his lifestyle and playing field. Afternoons yield time for a quick session at the gym during naptime, before evening bonding time at home over dinner and his televised sports game of choice for the nightcap.

Simpo has always employed a laser like focus on being a pro.

Like a prizefighter or a star quarterback; reps in the gym, time on the field, in the ring, visualization, endurance, fitness and health are mandatory. The daily routine has always been about getting better and putting in the work to take out the world’s best on any given day.
