Shane Dorian is surfing’s Robinson Crusoe. He is a man of purpose; bow hunting to put food on the table and surfing massive swells to fuel his fire.

And, he’s good at them. Living his life concerned about his families future on the enchanted big island of Hawaii; Shane Dorian is our hero. A legendary husband, friend, father and pioneer of big wave surfing.

Shane Dorian pushes the limits and a rigorous amount of effort goes into making sure his equipment is dialed to his ambitions. Because when the swell charts turn purple, Shane wants to be there. But his preparation is vital.

Having Shane on our team pushes us to maintain meticulous attention to detail. In all of his guns, he uses our G10 fiberglass fins. Due to the nature of the waves that Shane rides, it’s imperative to him that his fins are hand foiled in our facility in Huntington Beach. No stone left unturned.

Shane has trust in us and we mean to keep it. We have a part in the confidence he carries when the surf roars to life. He leans into a bottom turn at Jaws like it’s Backdoor. If his fins don’t hold, it could be the difference between the wave of his life or one that ends it. Shane Dorian is confident in our system, which is a responsibility we don’t take lightly.
